Creating Family Memories Christmas with the Ryan FamilyWhen the Ryan kids were growing up, says Ruth Ryan, Nolan was traveling for most of the year because of his baseball responsibilities. So the period from Christmas to New Year’s Day—a period just after the end of the season and just before training camp—became a special time for family. Those traditions continue with the Ryan's grown children and a new generation of grandchildren. Like many families, the Ryan's gather Christmas Eve to attend church services and then return to Nolan and Ruth's home on Christmas day for presents, great food and a football game or two.
