When Nolan Ryan was asked to return fulltime to professional baseball, he jumped at the opportunity.

No, he's not returning to the pitcher's mound to add more records to his Hall of Fame career. Instead, he's accepted the position as president of the Texas Rangers and will be in charge of all aspects of this major league team. Part of his responsibilities will be to help guide the careers of current major league players as they seek to capture a World Series berth.

Emails, calls and surveys from our Kroger Southwest customers informed us you want premium all-natural, tender, hormone-free USDA Choice beef products.

Now you have it. Nolan Ryan and Kroger have teamed up with Harris Ranch Beef in California's San Joaquin Valley to launch a new line of premium products with those qualities that we call 
Nolan Ryan's Premium Reserve All-Natural Beef. 
Our partnership produces this beef through vertical integration, a term that means we control all steps of beef production from pasture to plate. This control allows us to produce beef to meet these requirements of USDA's process-verified program known as Never Ever 3.

The new product lineup exemplifies Nolan Ryan's personal philosophy to produce beef that always meets his customers’ ever-changing needs.

 Slip into Summer

Nolan's Heat-and-Eat Products

Just in time for summer, Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef introduces two new all-natural, heat-and-eat ground beef products that simplify meal preparation while satisfying your family and friends with every bite. 

Slip out of the kitchen with ease with our new Sliders - fully cooked, frozen, 2-ounce mini-burgers that are ideal for kids and as party appetizers. For more robust appetites, try our new fully cooked, frozen, 4-ounce patties. 

While fully cooked burgers are convenient, make sure you look for items that are 100 percent all-natural beef like Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef. Some companies include soy or other non-beef additives that recuce the cost but also the quality.

With both new ground beef products, we've done most of the preparation for you. We charbroil Nolan Ryan's Guaranteed Tender ground chuck patties to perfection. Then we freeze them in 24-ounce bags. The Slider mini-burgers come 12 to a bag and the 4-ounce patties come six to a bag. 

Just reheat the frozen ground beef patties in two minutes in the microwave or on the outdoor grill. You are in and out of the kitchen almost as quickly.

Beginning this spring, look for these new products in the freezer case of stores that carry Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef in their meat case. And later in the year, look for even more new beef products from Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef as we continue to respond to our customers' needs. Some of our new concepts will include:

•      A new, fresh ground beef offering of four 5.33-ounce fresh patties in a vacuum-package

•      Bulk quantities of Nolan Ryan's 80% and 75% lean ground beef packaged in three pound chubs 

 

 Burgers & Ballparks

Look for Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef at Texas Ballparks 

"Take me out to the ballgame" doesn't mean you have to give up great food for the night. At least it doesn't if you attend any of this season's baseball games at home parks of the Texas Rangers, Round Rock Express or Corpus Christi Hooks.  

Nolan Ryan Guaranteed Tender Beef and the management of these ballparks collaborated to make several of our delicious, all-natural beef items available to fans. Your selection includes:

•      Nolan Ryan's Sausage on a Stick available through the concession stands at all three ballparks.

•      Nolan Ryan's Prime Rib on the all-you-can-eat buffet at the Diamond Club at the Rangers Ballpark.

•      Nolan Ryan's 1/3-pound beef patty available through the Texas Rangers concessions and 4-ounce beef patties in all suites at the Rangers Ballpark.

•      Nolan Ryan's new 2-ounce Sliders and 4-ounce chuck patties through catering services at Round Rock and Corpus Christi.

If you're in Texas this baseball season, head to one of these ballparks and choose beef or sausage. You'll not only see great athletes compete, you'll get a grand slam of a meal.

 

 Warm Weather Workouts

It's time to get outside and enjoy nature! Follow these workout recommendations for a healthier, happier year.

•      Start Slow – Especially if you’ve been dormant all winter. Incorporate a few minutes of physical activity every day. Walk around the block or use the stairs instead of the elevator at work. Slowly build up to 30 minutes of exercise a day. 

•      Build Intensity – Once you’ve mastered 30 minutes a day, increase your workouts' intensity. Incorporate a hill into your daily walk or include jogging or bicycling. For variety, spend an evening shooting hoops with your kids once a week. 

•      Add Strength Training - No need for a gym! Lunges, squats and pushups can be done outside; no equipment needed. 

•      Drink! - Don’t forget your fluids. You're already dehydrated once you feel thirsty. Remember to drink before, after and during workouts.

 New Recipes - Great for Spring

April can bring a mix of warm and cooler temps. So whether you're still cooking indoors or are ready to fire up the grill, here are two great new recipes that are sure to please. Pick up Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Beef and a few ingredients and you'll be in for a treat!
