85% Ground Round Beef comes from a primal cut which means it is purely ground from the round with no added trimmings. This beef is a lean product perfect for recipes where you can't drain off drippings, such as stuffed peppers or cabbage. When properly cooked, it has a firm, dense texture.
If used for burgers, do not overhandle the beef or overcook. Cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F (medium doneness) until center is no longer pink the juices show no pink color.
