Ruth’s Ground Beef, Corn and TomatoCooking spray 1 clove garlic, minced 1 onion, chopped 1 pound Nolan Ryan’s Guaranteed Tender 96% lean ground round 2 cups canned tomatoes 2 cups canned corn 4 tablespoons butter 5 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon paprika Biscuits (make your favorite recipe or pick some up in the refridgerator section of your store)
Directions Using cooking spray, sauté garlic and onion; stir in ground meat and brown. Drain. Add tomatoes and corn. Melt butter; stir in flour. Add these ingredients to the meat mixture; stir and cook until boiling. Season with sugar, chili powder, salt and paprika. Place in a greased, oven-proof dish. Top with biscuits. Place in a hot oven of 425 degrees until the biscuits have turned a light brown, about 20 minutes. Serves 6. This recipe courtesy of Ruth Ryan, Nolan's wife.
