Honey Pineapple Burgers


Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4 people


Ingredients:

1 lb. lean Nolan Ryan's All-Natural ground beef
1/2 tsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. teriyaki sauce
2 Tbsp. honey
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 Kaiser rolls

Basting Sauce:


1/3 cup crushed pineapple, with juice
3 Tbsp. honey
1/8 tsp. red pepper

Instructions:


Combine ingredients for basting sauce in a microwave- safe glass bowl.  Heat in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on HIGH, or until the mixture is warm.  Hold and use for basting during the last few minutes of cooking the hamburgers.

For burgers, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, mixing lightly but not thoroughly.  Shape into 4 patties.

Place the hamburger patties on grill at medium-high heat.  Cook for 10-13 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.  

During the last few minutes of cooking, spoon basting sauce over patties.  (You may also top cooked patties with any remaining basting sauce prior to serving.)

Serve on Kaiser rolls.
