All beef is nutritious, but we have taken Nolan Ryan’s Premium Reserve brand to the next level by offering discerning consumers choices at the meat case. This new line of USDA-Choice, all-natural beef will be coming soon to Kroger stores in the Dallas and Houston metro areas.
Our naturally raised beef is produced with consumers and their families in mind. We realize that you want to make an informed decision about the food you bring home.

- Knowing where their food comes from.
Cattle enrolled in Nolan Ryan’s Premium Reserve program are born, raised and harvested here in the U.S. They are source-verified, meaning we know what ranch they are from and how they are raised. - Knowing how cattle were raised.
We work with progressive ranching families to provide our feedlots with cattle that meet our stric
t requirements and are raised under exceptional care. - Knowing what the cattle were fed.
- No hormones. These cattle never receive any hormones in their diets. While all animals have naturally occurring hormones, we don’t use any added hormones.
- No antibiotics. We do not feed or administer antibiotics. While we would never deny care or treatment to an animal that becomes sick, those animals are removed from the program if they need to be treated with an antibiotic for illness.
- All-vegetarian diet. The cattle receive a 100% vegetarian diet that is regularly tested to verify that they do not contain pesticides.
- Knowing your food is safe.
As an added assurance, we have a rigorous residue control program under which we test the beef to ensure there are no residues of any kind. Nolan Ryan’s Premium Reserve beef is harvested in a single, state-of-the-art facility where we have absolute control over production and food safety standards. This facility is overseen by highly trained Quality Assurance staff who work to guarantee our beef is safe and wholesome.
